Overview
You are warmly invited to join us at Reboot City 2024 taking place on Saturday 12th October at The Globe, Reading (10:30 – 16:30, doors will open at 9.45am).
At Reboot City, we have curated a day for young people, aged 12 – 18, filled with engaging games, great music, free lunch, and, most importantly, youth-accessible apologetic content (for both Christians and non).
Featuring Special Guests:
John Lennox, OCCA speaker and Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University, Aaron Routledge from The Message Trust and sounds from D J Kelechi
Talks + Q&R from the main stage will include: AI, Injustice, Credibility of the Bible, lots of time for live questions and much, much more!
During this full day of fun and apologetic content, we are also providing breakout sessions based on many of the needs our team has heard from youth leaders over the past year.
We have limited seating so please purchase your tickets as soon as possible (early bird and group discounts available).
There is some car parking available at the venue, but this is limited.
Reboot is thrilled to share that £1 from each ticket sale will be gifted to charity. The charity we’ve selected is the Justice Defense Fund by Laila Mickelwait. JDF supports “civil litigation and legislation to bring justice to survivors of sex trafficking & child sexual abuse.”

What age range is this event suitable for?
- Reboot is open to anyone in secondary school or sixth form – however, do be aware that some difficult topics may be discussed during the talks and seminars
Will food be provided?
- Yes! We will be providing a simple tasty lunch for everyone
Do I need to bring money?
- There will be a fantastic book stall where you can buy books to take the topics you learn about a bit further
Talks & Breakout Sessions
1. Interview: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity
John Lennox – Oxford Professor Emeritus will discuss the intersection of AI and human destiny, raising thought-provoking questions about the role of technology in our lives. (Plus time for questions)
2. Tales or Truth: Can We Trust The Bible?
Clare Williams – PhD student in Sociology, will tackle the big question: Is the Bible just a collection of ancient myths, or is it a reliable foundation for truth? With a sharp focus on historical evidence, Clare will challenge common misconceptions and reveal why the Bible still matters today. (Plus time for questions)
3. Spells, Spirits, and the Supernatural
Sara Stevenson – MSc in Philosophy of Science and Religion from the University of Edinburgh, will explore the rise of supernatural beliefs in today’s culture, like the growing trend of TikTok’s #WitchTok. Through a philosophical and cultural lens, Sara will examine why these beliefs are gaining traction and what they reveal about our society. (Plus time for questions)
4. Where is God in a World of Injustice?
Alanzo Julian Paul – PhD student at Oxford University, will tackle the pressing question of justice, the number one value for today’s youth. In a world rife with suffering and inequality, Alanzo will explore how faith speaks into these challenges, offering a compelling perspective on God’s presence and role in the fight for justice.

1. Human Trafficking: The Dark Side of the Porn Industry
Daniel Gilman – PhD student in William Wilberforce at Cambridge University, exposing the hidden horrors of human trafficking linked to the porn industry. (Plus time for questions)
2. Is Anyone Out There? Exploring the Evidence for God
Daniel Woolnough – PhD student at Oxford University in Philosophy of Religion, tackling one of life’s biggest questions with evidence, logic, and clarity. (Plus time for questions)
3. What About All the Other Religions?
Rahil Patel – Former Hindu monk for 20 years and author, sharing his unique journey and insights into various world religions. (Plus time for questions)
4. What Does God Say About Abortion?
Aase Victoria Bøe – Former editor for the Christian online youth magazine iTro.no in Norway, addressing one of the most pressing ethical issues of our time. (Plus time for questions)
5. Engaging with the Questions of Culture (Youth Leaders, Parents, Pastors ONLY)
Tom Price – PhD student in Philosophy of Film at the University of Aberdeen, will lead this specialised session designed to equip those leading the next generation with the tools and understanding to engage effectively with today’s cultural challenges. (Plus time for questions)
