What is RZIM?
Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) was founded in 1984 by Dr Ravi Zacharias, and is a leading international organisation in the field of evangelism and apologetics. It exists to reach those who have objections and questions about the Christian faith, as well as to equip Christians to share their faith with confidence.
RZIM is comitted to reaching this generation around the world - in the university, the arts, politics, business, and the church. Through open forums, community outreach, and various media, it seeks to remove the barriers to the cross for the sceptic and to prepare Christians to give a reason for the hope within us.
All this is achieved through:
- Evangelism with a particular focus on the sceptic, cultural influencer, and critical thinker
- Apologetics that addresses current issues and the perceived needs of society
- Training with an emphasis on practical application to the real questions, coming alongside the church and concerned Christians worldwide
- Spiritual Disciplines that focus the mind and heart on the glory of God
RZIM is a global ministry with its international headquarters in the USA, and with offices in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, India and Canada. RZIM Europe is the operating name of the RZIM Zacharias Trust. It is the European office of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, and is based in Oxford.

OCCA students are given the opportunity to have on-going contact with members of the RZIM speaking team in the midst of their itinerant evangelistic ministries. Students may well be invited to travel with and put into practice their new found apologetics skills. This practical exposure grounds academic aptitude in real contact with questioners and skeptics, and has proved to be a highlight for many OCCA alumni.
