For those with a passion to make Christ known, studying at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA) is a life transforming experience, combining effective evangelism with academic rigour. The OCCA brings together cutting-edge theologians and world class evangelists in a centre of excellence. All OCCA students are provided with an unparalleled opportunity to be stretched, envisioned and equipped.
The teaching provided takes the form of lectures, question and answer sessions, guided reading, regular tutorials, assessed essays, preaching workshops, discussion seminars, and direct access to teaching staff. An integral part of the programme is the opportunity for evangelistic and apologetic ministry in a wide variety of contexts. Students taking the One Year Course are involved in practical assignments, local outreach placements in Oxford, and a short mission with the opportunity to speak and minister. All students are given a broad base of knowledge in the inspiring field of Christian Apologetics.
