The Coltan Bursary Fund

Introduction

The Coltan Bursary Fund is open to applications from students living in Indonesia. The award is made available to provide funding for students from this area to study at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. The aim is to enable emerging evangelists and apologists from Indonesia to ground their gifting with strong academic training and guidance from leading evangelists and apologists from around the world. The bursary is for study on the One Year Course only.

Eligibility

Applicants must be committed Christians who have an obvious desire to serve God and communicate the gospel. They must have strong references confirming both their desire to be involved in evangelism and apologetics, and their previous experience in this field.

They must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing both in Bahasa and English, and have a college/undergraduate degree. After passing through the OCCA application process applicants will also be interviewed by YPAI representatives and may be asked to submit written work (two short essays).

They must also show how their training will be used in Indonesia after completing the programme. They must be committed to spending at least the 4 years immediately following completion of the programme as resident in Indonesia, in which they would become part of YPAI program developer and itinerant team.

Funding

A successful applicant for the bursary will be awarded either part or full awards towards tuition and living costs.
